Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine Leaves The Dominican Republic By Private Jet After Travel Ban Is Lifted Following His Assault Arrest

Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernández, was arrested earlier in October for the attempted homicide of two of Diamond La Mafia’s music producers, Cristian Anthony Rojas and Nelson Alfonso Hilario García, in the Dominican Republic.

Although the rapper’s security guards were involved in the incident, only Tekashi 6ix9ine was charged in the case.

After his court hearing, the rapper was released from prison but was ordered not to leave the Dominican Republic. He was seen partying on a yacht with his girlfriend.

The case had been ongoing since October. The victims’ lawyers filed a lawsuit against him as well.

In an interview with the Alfoke radio show, the rapper admitted he didn’t want to say too much because it was a delicate situation.

When asked if he was still working, Tekashi 6ix9ine said that he was, noting that he hadn’t stopped even during this legal battle. He also said his family had come over to visit since he couldn’t visit them anymore.

Now, a judge at the La Vega Palace of Justice temporarily lifted the travel ban so Tekashi could “fulfill some of his commitments abroad.” Now, he is free to travel as long as it is for documented work-related events and projects.

Criminal lawyer and journalist Felix Portes was hired to defend the rapper.

On November 10, Portes shared an Instagram post featuring a photo of himself and Tekashi 6ix9ine celebrating the travel ban being lifted. He captioned the post, “Thank god justice was served.”

In that same post, Portes called out the prosecutor’s office. He called the prosecutors “populist and non-objective” and labeled their complaints “illogical and unreasonable.”

He ended the post by saying that Tekashi 6ix9ine will travel via private jet and is now “way abroad to fulfill commitments.”
