Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was released from prison last week for helping to kill her mother, made her first public comments in two new TikTok videos.

She spent seven years in prison after being convicted of committing the second-degree murder of her abusive mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She was sentenced to ten years but was released three years early.

“Hey everyone, this is Gypsy. I’m finally free,” Blanchard stated in the first video posted on December 31. “I just wanna send a quick video to thank everyone for the massive amount of support I’ve been getting on social media.”

“Everyone has been really, really nice, and supportive,” she added. “I really appreciate it. It’s nice to be home.”

“I’m back home in Louisiana, enjoying a beautiful day outside, and I’ve got a lot of great things happening really soon,” she shared. “I’ve got my documentary series coming out, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.”

This series is set to premiere on January 5 on Lifetime.

“I just put out an e-book that I’m super proud of,” Blanchard went on to say. “It’s not a rehashing of everything that happened, it’s more of my reflection of everything that I have learned and experienced in the last eight-and-a-half years.”

“So my e-book is called Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom, which you can pre-order now,” she then stated.

Her second video was released on the same day.

“Hey, everyone, Happy New Year’s Eve,” she stated.

“I’m about to celebrate with my family,” she mentioned. “I have my dad [Rod Blanchard] and my stepmom, Kristy [Blanchard] here, and of course my husband [Ryan Scott Anderson].”

She married Anderson back in 2022 while she was still in prison.

“So we’re looking to ring in the New Year together, and it’s going to be really awesome to have some family time after so long,” Blanchard claimed.

“So to everyone watching, Happy New Year’s Eve,” she said before ending the video. “Bye!”

Blanchard’s story of her abusive relationship with her mother has been told in the documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest and in the true crime drama miniseries, The Act.

In late December, Blanchard was seen exiting a prison building while also holding two plastic bags and a suitcase. Anderson was nearby with a big suitcase in his car.
