George Michael’s Boyfriend Fadi Fawaz May Face Eviction By Singer’s Family
George Michael’s relatives want to reclaim one of the singer’s homes from his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz, according to reports.
The celebrity hairdresser is understood to be currently living in the icon’s home in North London where he has been staying ever since he found Michael dead on Christmas Day. It was announced last week that Michael died of a fatty liver.
But the house is set to be inherited by the singer’s family along with most of his estate, who are known to have fallen out with Fawaz.
According to The Sun, a disagreement is now brewing George’s family and Fadi, who has insisted he gave him permission to use the property.
A source told newspaper: “Most of George’s estate is passing to his sisters and his immediate family, which includes his substantial property portfolio, but at the moment Fadi is still living in the Regent’s Park house.
“He and the family are not really in contact but the issue is lurking in the background and is going to flare up again once the funeral is out of the way. It could easily become a legal issue if they can’t agree,” the source said.
Determined to shut down the rumors, Fawaz reactivated his Twitter account in the early hours of Saturday morning tweeting: “It’s totally not true… Thank You.”
Hours later he added: “I am not facing legal anything. Please spread my words. Thank you.”
Over the past few months Fadi has been under immense pressure from George’s devoted fans. Many of them questioned his version of events following the star’s death.
