Britney Spears Says She Wasn’t ‘Present’ For Her Wedding, ‘Haven’t Had Real Consciousness In 3 Years’

Nearly six months after Britney Spears and Sam Asghari tied the knot, Spears reveals that she did not really feel “present” for the occasion.

In a now deleted Instagram post, Spears wrote in a caption, “Wow I got married this year not sure I was honestly that PRESENT because I haven’t had real consciousness in 3 years.”

The caption went into more detail with Spears going on to write, “There was a lot of talking and SPEAKING at the party !!! Not for me unfortunately because when you can’t breathe your body cant relax enough to speak !!!”

She also said in her post that her “breathing” has calmed since her wedding. As has been the case in her past posts, Spears took the time to take a jab at her family. “Its been a while for me !!! I CAN NOW … I just hope my family breathes well today !!!”

The pair started dating back in 2016 working together on her music video “Slumber Party.”

Spears commented in the past on their meet cute story. “I was like, ‘He was really cute, this guy was really cute,’ so I called him,” Spears said in a radio interview back in 2017. “He’s just a really fun, funny person.”

Asghari in 2018 spoke about how their first meeting went, sharing that “I was excited that I [would] get to meet one of the biggest artists of all time. I had butterflies.”

Later, he told the interviewer that he had first tried to be “funny” but that “I don’t think anybody got it.”

The relationship became official on social media in 2017 then the duo got engaged in 2021.

Brandon Cohen, Asghari’s manager, made the announcement of their marriage online. “The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them.”

Spears has alarmed fans by posting numerous nude photos in recent months.

The announcement came two months before the end of the pop star’s conservatorship. Asghari had expressed before the wedding how great the relationship was for them both. “Everything’s amazing. We’re so excited to start a new chapter, and everything’s so positive from here on out. Everything is going to be new from here on out,” he revealed.

Spears has alarmed fans by posting numerous nude photos on social media.

She has also used the platform to attack her parents multiple times.
