Rapper DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, is being questioned by Miami Beach Police after a shooting on Memorial Day that left two people injured. The Miami Beach Police Department confirmed that the rapper was a part of their investigation and was questioned.

Several people called 911 on Monday night at around 11:30 p.m. The police said the calls pertained to a shooting that occurred close to 1st Street and Ocean Drive. Once the police arrived, they found two people injured; one shot on the shoulder and the other on the leg.

The two victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Police said that one of the victims is in critical condition, while the other was treated and released.

On Tuesday, Miami Beach police announced that the detectives investigating the shooting “have two subjects in custody who are responsible for Monday evening’s shooting near 1 Street and Ocean Drive.”

Police also said that “arrest details and subject information will be shared once reports are completed.”

“We are incredibly proud of our officers, detectives, and crime scene investigators for their efforts in this complex investigations,” read the statement.

DaBaby shared a video of himself on Instagram during his concert at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

The artist was also questioned more than a year ago after he was arrested in Miami for a robbery investigation. DaBaby was charged with one count of battery; he denied being involved in the robbery and his charges were dropped.

In January, DaBaby was charged on a single count of carrying a concealed weapon and a count of carrying a loaded firearm in Beverly Hills.
