Corey Sligh, The Young & the Restless actor who was attacked and beaten on Thanksgiving, will ring in the New Year with a completely healed face, though his arm and leg injuries are still healing.

Corey Sligh Recovery Update

On Monday, Dec. 29, Sligh took to Instagram and Twitter to update fans on his condition, posting a close-up selfie shot of his face, declaring, “My face and head have finally healed! …Now if my arm and leg would hurry up! Thanks for all the support guys! Love y’all!”

Sligh was attacked by two men in a parking lot outside of a Rite Aid on Thanksgiving after telling the men, who were driving recklessly, to slow down. The men purposely hit Sligh with their car, exited the vehicle and proceeded to beat him. After a short stint in the hospital the young actor was sent home to recover with the help of a scooter to get around.

“It was pretty scary [being] on the hood of that car, but I’m happy to still be able to move my neck. I’m happy to have the problem of relearning to walk instead of not being able to walk at all. I’m pretty blessed,” Sligh told The Wrap after his attack.
