Conservative Tomi Lahren’s Show Permanently Banned From ‘The Blaze’

Conservative talk show host Tomi Lahren has been banned by Glenn Beck‘s The Blaze following pro-choice comments.

TOMI LAHREN SHOW SUSPENDED FOR PRO-CHOICE COMMENTS

On March 17, Lahren appeared on ABC’s The View and spoke about the hypocrisy of a Republican government dictating abortion laws. “I am a constitutional, you know, someone that loves the Constitution. I’m someone that’s for limited government, so I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies,” she said. “I can sit here and say that, as a Republican and I can say, you know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.”

Lahren’s show Tomi on The Blaze had at first been temporarily suspended. “All I can say is that Tomi’s show will not be in production this week,” said The Blaze managing editor Leon Wolf. Many conservatives, including Beck, were upset by Lahren’s words.

“I would disagree that you’re a hypocrite if you want limited government and yet you want the government to protect life of the unborn. It’s very, very clear. But it takes intellectual honesty, and it takes a willingness to actually think these things through and to do more than just read Twitter or Facebook to get your news and your political opinions,” said Beck. “You actually have to study things — these things out in your mind. Especially at a time period like today.”

Lahren took to Twitter to defend herself. “Listen, I am not glorifying abortion. I don’t personally advocate for it. I just don’t think it’s the government’s place to dictate,” she wrote in a series of tweets. “I have moderate, conservative, and libertarian views. I’m human. I will never apologize, to anyone, for being an independent thinker. I speak my truth. If you don’t like it, tough. I will always be honest and stand in my truth.”

It has been reported now that Beck has turned the temporary ban into a permanent one. The Blaze has already dropped from 29 million monthly viewers to 8.8 million between 2014 and 2017. Some think Beck’s ban of Lahren is an attempt to gain back some lost viewership.
