Comedian John Caparulo Hit With Glass During Stand-Up Show After Trump Joke

Comedian John Caparulo joked about Donald Trump when two women in the front row got offended, and one threw her glass at the comic before she left.

Caparulo, known for appearing on Chelsea Lately and as host of Mobile Home Disaster, was doing a show in Hermosa Beach, California, when he joked that a future monument of Trump would be shaped like a penis. He started out making fun of the simplicity of the Washington Monument. “Some people think it looks like a d–k but I think they’re saving that design for Trump’s monument,” he laughed.

Two offended women yelled, “f–k you,” and Caparulo decided to engage with the conservative hecklers and exchanged words, though not in a sophisticated way. “No, f–k you stupid,” he said. “What are you his f–king mom? … Am I the first one to dislike Trump, oh my god, I must have invented disliking Donald Trump.”

Pushing the woman over the edge, he said, “Hey, on your way out remember, you can suck my balls any time.” “The crowd cheered until the woman picked up her glass and threw it before walking out. It hit the comic square in the belly and shattered on the floor. Caparulo was clearly stunned, and nearly threw his stool back at her, but chose not to. The crowd was clearly on his side. “Thank you, she was a b—h all night,” a crowd member piped up.

According to TMZ, the comic handled the situation well. He steered the crowd back toward comedy by joking that the occurrence reminded him of an awkward family reunion.
