The 21st installment of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was meant to take place in April 2020 with Travis ScottFrank Ocean and Rage Against The Machine as featured headliners. But due to the pandemic, the festival was postponed four times through 2020 and 2021.

Scott was removed from the bill due to the fallout following the several deaths at the rapper’s Astroworld festival in November. Ocean pushed his performance back to Coachella 2023, and there was no reason provided for Rage Against The Machine being dropped from the lineup.

EDM group Swedish House Mafia was also announced as a featured act for the festival, but it was not confirmed whether they were headliners. Styles just completed the biggest North American tour by a major music artist since the beginning of the pandemic. He is heavily rumored to be working on new music to release before the festival.

Coachella has already sold out all of its tickets and will take place over the two weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.
