The 90s show Clarissa Explains It All is making it’s way back to television for the younger generation, with Melissa Joan Hart reprising her titular role of Clarissa Darling.

Nickelodeon is in early discussions about rebooting the sitcom, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The network is bringing back several different shows for reboot, including the children’s educational program Blue’s Clues and the 90s animated sitcom Rocko’s Modern Life.

The original series ran on Nickelodeon for five seasons from 1991 to 1994. It was focused around a teenager girl who broke the fourth wall and talked to the audience as she tried to navigate herself through school, friends, boys and everything else an average teenager deals with on a daily basis.

The reboot will feature Hart as an older version of Clarissa, who is now the the mother of the family. Mitchell Kriegman, the original series’ creator, is also reportedly coming back for the show’s reboot to write and produce.

This is not the first Kriegman has created a spin-off for the show, in 2015 he wrote a book Things I Can’t Explain which followed Clarissa as she tried figure out life in her 20’s.

In an earlier interview Hart, who also played the titular role of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, explained that Clarissa did not really have an ending. “I like the way we left Sabrina. I think Sabrina ended on a really great note, and I don’t think you want to go back and explore that. At the same time, I think Clarissa ended on a note that could be explored again, because it didn’t really have an ending — it sort of ended,” she told the Reporter.
