Christie Brinkley shared then-and-now photos with her son on Instagram to celebrate his 28th birthday.

The 69-year-old supermodel and her son Jack Paris Brinkley-Cook recreated a throwback photo of Jack as a toddler. The old shot from two decades ago is paired with the more recent picture, with the mother and son in the same position.

Alongside the adorable snapshots were poetic words paying tribute to Jack, expressing Brinkley’s love towards her second child on this special occasion.

“From there to here, in the blink of an eye, You’ve turned into the most wonderful guy!” she wrote. “28 years of adventures and fun, you’re the very best brother and my favorite son!”

“Thoughtful kind and wicked smart, what makes me proudest is your beautiful heart!” she continued.

“We all love you so much Giacomo! Happy Birthday Jack Paris! 💙”

Brinkley also tagged her son in the post. In the flashback image, Brinkley and Jack are both in cream sweaters and jeans, accompanied by big smiles. The recreated shot gives a rare glimpse of Jack’s look today, in which he wears a light blue shirt with his mom, who is in a white summer dress, leaning on his shoulder.

Brinkley shares Jack, her middle child, with ex-husband Richard Taubman, whom she divorced in 1996, a year after Jack was born. Jack was then adopted by Peter Cook, Brinkley’s fourth husband whom she divorced in 2008.

Compared to Jack’s other half-sisters, Alexa Ray Joel, 37, and Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 24, Jack is not that active on social media or in the entertainment industry. His last post on Instagram was five months ago with only one picture of himself wearing a gray t-shirt, a black bucket hat, and sunglasses.

Brinkley on the other hand makes sure to give fans some glimpse of her son’s life once in a while.

In March this year, Brinkley shared her son’s sweet comment on her newly grown gray hair under the pictures of her sitting on a beach.

“Grey sky! Gray hair,” she first joked about her natural look with the natural scene. “The second you see gray hair it raises the question, just like when you cut bangs … to keep or not to keep?”

She then added her son’s opinion on appreciating her appearance. “My son thinks it looks cool, but I think I may want to wait till it’s more like the silver whitecaps than the grey wave itself!”
