Gotham still needs its caped crusader, and Christian Bale is up to the task.

Bale, who is racking up awards for his most recent role in The Fighter, said he would be open to doing a fourth Batman movie with director Christopher Nolan, despite only signing up for a three-movie run.

"All I know is the likelihood that this will be the last one," Bale said to Empire Magazine. "Well, I wouldn't say definitely. If Chris goes, 'Hey, I've got another story I think could be interesting,' then yeah, great, I'd go do that. I always assumed it would be three, but I could be wrong. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but I don't feel any pressure."

The Welsh actor had no secrets to reveal about the upcoming Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. "If I told you, a bullet would come flying through the window and take me out," he joked. "Plus I kind of like this mystery that Chris has about all the movies — I'm quite happy to play ball with that. But you'd be surprised at how little I know."

Rumors abound that Robin Williams could play the villain Dr. Hugo Strange. Tom Hardy has already been cast as Bane, while Anne Hathaway will play Catwoman. —ISHITA SINGH
