Chris Brown Detained In Paris Amid Rape & Drug Allegations
Singer Chris Brown was arrested in Paris on Tuesday after a woman accused him of aggravated rape and drug violations, French officials stated.
The 29-year-old R&B star is reportedly being detained alongside two other unidentified people. Investigators will seek to determine whether to let Brown go or file preliminary charges.
Brown has faced several legal issues in recent years. It’s been almost exactly ten years since his most infamous arrest in 2009, when he brutally attacked then-girlfriend Rihanna. For that incident, he was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, and was sentenced to five years probation.
According to several news outlets, Brown denied the latest allegations against him:
More recently, Brown was detained in Florida in July on felony battery charges related to an April 2017 incident during which he allegedly punched a man who photographed him without his permission. Brown has also spent time in rehab.
