Fox Sports host Charissa Thompson, 35, is moving on with her life after hackers leaked nude photos from her personal iCloud account.
Last month, the host had several photos and videos of a sexual nature hacked and shared online without her permission. “Hack this,” she captioned a photo posted to her Instagram account on Feb. 8
In another post the same day, she wrote, “There are days , especially lately where I hate everyone & then there are days where I want to help the homeless , rescue every stray dog and be kind. Today is one of those days sooooo if I run into you today & hug you, just go with it.”
Since the hack, Thompson has continued her work at Fox Sports as the host of Fox NFL Kickoff and the top-rated Sunday Fox NFL Pre-Game show. She was the main contributor for the network’s Super Bowl LII coverage, and she attended multiple events to discuss the big game. Thompson was chosen to be the official host of the 2018 Players Tailgate and spent time with many footballers in Minnesota before game time.
“The host and emcee of our signature Players Tailgate is something we take great pride in, with the 2018 Players Tailgate in Minneapolis being no different,” said CEO of organizer Bullseye Event Group Kyle Kinnett in a statement when Thompson was chosen. “Each year, we take our time, selecting someone who is not only on top of their game, but captures what we’re about at Bullseye Event Group. When you’ve had names such as Michael Strahan, Erin Andrews, Lindsey Czarniak and Jaymee Sire, there are always big shoes to fill. And we are ecstatic to be able to add Charissa to that list of great Players Tailgate emcees.”
Thompson has hired attorney Andrew Brettler to help combat the hackers. “We’re working with [the Los Angeles District Attorney] hand-in-hand,” Brettler told Fox News. “I think that it’s important that the responsible individual or individuals are held accountable for this because it’s a disgusting invasion of my client’s privacy rights.” He added that Thompson is willing to take “every appropriate step” to find justice.
So far, Brettler has been able to remove the photos from the Internet, and is now trying to track down the cybercriminals who leaked the content.
