Celebrity Apprentice made Faruck Systems hairstyling brands, CHI and BioSilk, the center of this week’s challenge. Although once again on the losing team, Omarosa lived to see another day, while Claudia Jordan was sent packing.

The celebrity contestants were tasked with designing an interactive marketing campaign for CHI and BioSilk, using a glass truck. Teams Plan B and Power were judged on their creativity, brand messaging and the overall experience of their campaign. Not only would the eventual winner get $50,000 for their charity, but also the project manager could receive an additional $50,000 for each “like” received on their Facebook page.

Marilu Henner served as the project manager for team Plan B. After deciding to use the glass truck for three-minute makeovers, she delegated tasks to teammates Stephen Baldwin, Lisa Rinna, Penn Jillette, Trace Adkins and Gary Busey. Baldwin managed to score his team Miss USA and Miss Universe Olivia Culpo to help promote the brands. Meanwhile, Adkins came up with the slogan “Experience Silk.” Busey, whose main role was to be the team’s account, also got the job of brand ambassador “Angel of Silk.” As the campaign was underway, Adkins played his guitar on top of the truck and Jillette juggled fire.

Team Power was under the guidance of Jordan. Lil Jon came up with the slogan “CHI Wants You To Be Beautiful,” and dressed up as Uncle Sam to drive home the patriotic undertone. Meanwhile, Omarosa, who was in charge of picking up props, failed to get everything on the list Jordan had given her. The team hired a Joan Rivers impersonator for their campaign, and set the stage like a red carpet event and had Dennis Rodman walking around in gold lipstick. Hairstylists performed makeovers outside the truck, while photos were taken with models inside.

In the boardroom, it was decided that although Farouk loved Team Power’s branding, he preferred the overall experience of Team Plan B’s campaign, and thus named them the winner. Henner’s charity, the Alzheimer’s Association, received the coveted $50,000. Jordan, the losing project manager, brought Rodman and Lil’ Jon back into the boardroom – shocking everyone by omitting Omarosa. Donald Trump disagreed with Jordan’s choice to leave Omarosa behind, and implied that she was afraid of her. Despite Jordan’s attempts to pin the blame of the loss on Rodman, Trump fired her.

As much as I’ve disagreed with Trump over the seasons about some firings, he was right that Claudia Jordan should’ve been kicked off the competition since she didn’t take in Omarosa. I work at DISH and some of my coworkers think that with the way people are fearful of Omarosa, she’ll be around until the bitter end. I missed Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday, but caught up with it on my way home from work via the DISH Anywhere app on my iPhone. It’s great that I can watch shows saved on my DVR when I’m away from home by using this feature.
