Today marks Pi Day, which cleverly falls each year on March 14 (or 3/14) – make the most of it with discount specials.

CELEBRATE PI DAY WITH DISCOUNTS

First of all, Pi is the mathematical ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, which rounds to 3.14, though the full quantity has been calculated to over one trillion digits. “Pi has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point. As an irrational and transcendental number, it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern,” explain the Pi Day organizers themselves. “While only a handful of digits are needed for typical calculations, Pi’s infinite nature makes it a fun challenge to memorize, and to computationally calculate more and more digits.”

In fact, the House of Representatives passed a resolution to officially designate March 14 as Pi Day across the country. Here are a few business at which you can celebrate this mathematical day:

Bojangles is offering three of their sweet potato pies for $3.14 all day today. At Dominoes Pizza, you can buy one get one free through March 19. Two other pizza joints are also partaking in the Pi Day festivities – Hungry Howe’s Pizza is selling medium one-topping pies for $3.14 when you buy any Howie Bread, and Papa Johns is offering a large or pan two-topping pizza for just $9.99.

At Stevi B‘s buffet you can get an all-you-can-eat ticket for $3.14 and purchase of a drink.
