Cardi B and Nicki Minaj attended a New York Fashion Week party on Friday night that escalated into a fight between the two singers, which left Cardi with a sizable bump on her face.

According to TMZ‘s eyewitness, Cardi “aggressively approached the table” Minaj and her group were sitting at. As she began leaning towards Minaj, she said, “Let me tell you something.” Per the word of Cardi’s associates, she did not walk over to Minaj with violent intent, she merely wanted “to address the lies Nicki was spreading” about her.

Once the two singers were inches away from each other, Minaj’s security stepped in. One of the guards is believed to have elbowed Cardi, leaving her with a very visible bump on her forehead. Nevertheless, Cardi wasn’t finished, as she took off one of her shoes and threw it at Minaj, missing her. Allegedly, Minaj maintained her composure and did not flinch.

Consequently, Cardi was escorted out of the Harper’s Bazaar party by security, leaving her discarded shoe behind. Although Cardi did not name who the intended recipient was, it’s clear the message she posted on Instagram the following day was written for Minaj. In it, Cardi makes an allusion to their fight and how Minaj has made belittling remarks regarding Cardi’s maternal instincts.

However, as Minaj and her staff were not injured, she has decided not to press charges against Cardi.
