Canadians Lash Out At Madonna For “Canada Is Boring” Comments

Madonna invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle to sublet her Upper West Side, New York apartment last week. The royal couple have been living in Vancouver, Canada since they stepped down from their royal duties last month. This came as a shock to the world and the royal family. The couple has said they will split their time between North American and the United Kingdom.

Madonna posted a video on her Instagram story asking if the Sussexes wanted to live her New York City apartment which “has two bedrooms and the best view of Manhattan” instead of residing in Canada to raise a family. The singer stated in her video: “Don’t run off to Canada. It’s boring there.”

While she appeared to be joking, many Canadians instantly fired back at the Pop Queen on social media.
