In the Oppenheimer vs Barbie debate, Justin Trudeau is on team Barbie.
The Canadian prime minister posted on Instagram a photo of him and his 15-year-old son Xavier Trudeau posing in front of the movie theater Barbie poster captioning it, “We’re team Barbie.”
The father-son duo made sure to come prepared for the event. Justin was wearing a neon pink hoodie with the words “Love You More” on it while Xavier decided on a fuschia pink Garage t-shirt.
This comes just four days after Justin announced that he and his wife Sophie Grégoire are separating. The couple shares three children together, Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien.
He shared the news on his Instagram account on Thursday writing, “Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate. As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build.”
He ended the statement by saying, “For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy.”
The two have already “signed a legal separation agreement” before they made their announcement. Additionally, it was stated that they “have worked to ensure that all legal and ethical steps with regards to their decision to separate have been taken, and will continue to do so moving forward.”
