Caitlyn Jenner Will Not Be Charged In Fatal Car Accident Case

Caitlyn Jenner will not be charged for her part in a four-car accident that led to one of the driver’s deaths.

CAITLYN JENNER WON’T BE CHARGED FOR CAR ACCIDENT

Earlier this year in California Jenner was involved in a four-car accident where she rear-ended a car, causing it to be pushed out into oncoming traffic. The car was then hit by another vehicle, killing the driver.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office announced that Jenner will not be charged for her part in the accident, although she is being sued by the other drivers and the victim’s stepchildren.

The prosecutors did not file a misdemeanor manslaughter charge due to the fact that there was no proof that Jenner was driving recklessly or even fast, she didn’t flee the scene, nor was she on the phone at the time of the accident.

Jenner’s lawyer, Blair Berk, was not surprised at the results, and explained that Jenner and her legal team were confident that an thorough investigation would reveal that Jenner was not guilty of any “criminal wrongdoing”. “We are heartened the district attorney has agreed that even a misdemeanor charge would be inappropriate,” Berk said. “A traffic accident, however devastating and heartbreaking when a life is lost, is not necessarily a criminal matter.”

On Feb. 7, Jenner was been driving a black Cadillac SUV, at a slow to regular speed, when she rear-ended another car on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The driver of the car she hit, Kimberly Howe, 69, was forced into oncoming traffic where she was hit by another SUV. Howe died at the scene, police reported.

After the accident occurred, Jenner released a statement, giving her condolences to Howe’s family. “My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy, and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them.”
