Caitlyn Jenner Attends Granddaughter’s Birthday After Son Says He Wants To Be ‘The Exact Opposite’ Type Of Parent

Caitlyn Jenner attended granddaughter Honey’s first birthday party on Tuesday, one year after her son Brody said he wanted to raise his daughter “the exact opposite” way he was raised.

Brody’s fiance, Tia Blanco, shared photos of the party on Instagram and included a shot with Caitlyn, 74, and her ex-wife, Linda Thompson.

Brody and Blanco welcomed Honey in July 2023, prompting Brody to diss his father in a YouTube video shortly after her arrival.

“I think that what I’m most excited about is doing things differently than my father did,” he said. “Growing up I didn’t have the greatest relationship with [Caitlyn]. [She] wasn’t really around for me growing up. So I think [about] just doing the exact opposite [and] being the absolute best father I could possibly be.”

This was not the first time Brody condemned his father publicly. In a 2013 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Brody called out Caitlyn, then Bruce, for being so “attentive” to his daughters, Kendall and Kylie.

Brody was previously married to Kaitlynn Carter from 2018-2019. Carter has since moved on, and Brody has remained very supportive of his ex.

Jenner, who is transgender, recently came out strongly against trans athletes competing in women’s sports.
