Brazilian singer Anitta shared her sparkles at Carnaval de Anitta 2024 at Memorial de America Latina in Sam Paulo.

The Grammy-nominated singer posed backstage wearing a costume filled with jewels with wings attached, arm bands, and a crown to go along with the outfit.

The “Bellakeo” singer shared a story behind her costume at the show.

“Today, my costume is inspired by the 2023 Carnival-winning samba school, which highlighted the importance of ‘cordel literature,’ a popular booklet/pamphlet containing folk novels, poems, and songs,” she captioned on her Instagram video. “It’s a traditional expression of Brazilian popular culture.”

The Brazilian Carnival season, which extends for weeks, started on January 6 in Salvador. She also performed in Florianópolis, Brasília, Fortaleza, Recife and Rio de Janeiro before her show in São Paulo.

Her next stops are in Belo Horizonte, Vitória, Curitiba and São Paulo.

The Brazilian singer is no stranger to wearing wild outfits and costumes – she is frequently listed as among the best dressed at award shows.

Last year, Anitta was on Vogue’s best-dressed list for wearing a black vintage Versace 2003 gown at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

The “Evolver” singer was nominated for Best New Artist for the 2023 Grammy Awards.
