Blanket Jackson, the youngest son of Michael Jackson, has reportedly changed his name after being bullied.

Blanket Jackson Changes Name To Bigi

Blanket, 13, will henceforth be known as Bigi, according to a new report. Bigi allegedly decided to officially change his name after being bullied at school. “Growing up, his school mates have always been slightly mean to him because of their jealousy over who he is and going by Blanket made him a much easier target for ridicule,” a source revealed.

Jackson gave his youngest son the nickname ‘Blanket’ when he was a baby – his legal name is Michael Jackson Jr. – and Bigi has reportedly been distancing himself from the familial nickname for years. The teenager just completed the 7th grade at California’s The Buckley School, and reportedly decided to go by Bigi before enrolling. Bigi was homeschooled until entering middle school last year, and his official yearbook photo confirms his new moniker.

“He always thought the name Blanket sounded so stupid and resented his father for calling him that…When he entered Buckley he told them that his name is Bigi and that is what they call him,” the source added.

Bigi and his older siblings, sister Paris Jackson and brother Prince Jackson, have been under the guardianship of grandmother Katherine, 85, and cousin T.J. Jackson, since Jackson died in 2009. Prince recently graduated high school and is set to attend Loyola Marymount University in the fall.
