Actress Blanca Blanco skipped out on the black attire memo at the 90th Oscars and opted to stand out in a daring red-and-white dress instead.

The 37-year-old confidently wore an Atria Couture dress that revealed her figure. The red-and-white dress featured a low neckline with a cut-out v-neck that reached all the way down to right above her belly button. It also featured a revealing high slit that went up to her upper thigh. The dress also had a long red train that followed from behind.

Blanco contrasted the bright colors by stay neutral with her heels, wearing a simple single-strapped nude heels.

She accessorize her dress with matching red-and-gold drop earrings, as well as a couple statement rings.

The actress’s makeup had a soft glam look, with nude lips and sparkling gold eye shadow. Her makeup stylist, Robert Vega, shared on his Instagram that he used products from Smashbox, Too Faced and Anastasia Beverly Hills.

 

Many celebrities opted to wear black in solidarity of sexual assault victims in Hollywood. However, Blanco also stood in solidarity but in her own way. When helping design her dress, she decided with white and red because of the symbolism that comes with it. “The colors I selected were important to me because those colors symbolize equality, new beginnings and passion,” she told Fox News.

Between the colors she chose to wear on the red carpet and the bold style of dress, Blanco made her presence known last Sunday.
