Bill Cosby Found Guilty Of Sexual Assault, Cosby Calls Prosecutor “An A–hole”

Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexual assault by a jury of seven men and five women in a court in Philadelphia Thursday afternoon.

The comedian was convicted on three accounts of aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand. She alleged that Cosby drugged and assaulted her in his Philadelphia home in 2004. The three counts of sexual assault were penetration with lack of consent, penetration after administering an intoxicant and penetration while unconscious. Each of these felonies are punishable up to 10 years in prison.

His first trial ended last summer with the jury deadlocked. Multiple women came forward accusing him of drugging and assaulting them these past few years. Five of the women who accused him testified at the retrial.

Constand’s allegations were supported by the other accusers even though Cosby’s new legal team attempted to question her truthfulness.

This is the only case to be brought to trial from nearly 60 accusations against Cosby.

After his conviction, Cosby lashed out at District Attorney Kevin Steele after he asked for the comedian to be taken into custody immediately. He claimed Cosby had a private plane and could go on the run. Cosby reportedly denied having a plane and called Steele an “a–hole” and shouted, “I’m sick of him.”

The judge allowed Cosby to remain free on bail while he awaits sentencing.

This is the first major celebrity conviction in the wake of the #MeToo movement. Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey are still under investigation for their alleged sexual assaults.
