Benson Boone’s Girlfriend, Maggie Thurman, Inspired His Hit Sing “Beautiful Things”

Details about hit artist Benson Boone‘s girlfriend, Maggie Thurmon, have been shared. The couple has been together for roughly a year.

Boone and Thurmon were first photographed together in March 2024 at Elton Joh’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party. However, the two had teased their relationship a few months before the reveal.

Since their coupling, Thurmon and Boone have not been afraid to show affection, frequently cozying up to one another in public. They were seen together at the Twisters premiere in July 2024, where Boone’s song “Death Wish Love” was featured in the film’s soundtrack.

In September, Boone and Thurmon attended the Tommy Hilfiger New York Fashion Week Show together, and later that month they were seen at the VMAs, where they shared a passionate kiss on the red carpet. While on the carpet, Boone called Thurmon “the sweetest and the kindest,” stating that her “whole personality” lights him up.

Thurmon posted a video to her Instagram at the VMAs showing Boone performing “Beautiful Things” with the caption, “Rockstar. Last night was incredible, you are incredible. Congratulations congratulations!!”

In a conversation with Billboard in February 2024, Boone eluded that his hit song “Beautiful Things,” which was released earlier 2024, was inspired by Thurmon.

“[The song] was inspired by a relationship that I had just gotten into – for the first time in my life, I felt like I was extremely out of control of the way this relationship would turn out,” he said. “Meaning like, in the past, I feel like I’ve always known that I could be the one to end a relationship. This one felt very different. It was the first time that I’d really been actually, genuinely terrified to lose something.”

Thurmon is an actor and an influencer who first blew up on social media in high school as a brand ambassador for Hollister. From there, she made it her mission to post a new video a week that documented her experience as a high school senior graduating in 2020. She has amassed over five million followers on TikTok.

She starred in The Other Zoey alongside Drew Starkey and had roles in short films The Candy Shop and Jump. Thurmon and her father, Dan, also share a podcast called Wholesome Chaos in which they discuss their own lives.
