Cumberbatch and Ejiofor, who costarred in the Oscar-winning 12 Years a Slave, are back on set together in the forthcoming comic book adaptation. In Doctor Strange, Cumberbatch plays the titular character, while Ejiofor has taken on the part of his nemesis Baron Mordo.
In between scenes, Cumberbatch dipped into a local comic book store to pick up a copy of Doctor Strange while in costume.
Doctor Strange also stars Tilda Swinton (Moonrise Kingdom) as The Ancient One, the sorcerer that trained both Doctor Strange and Baron Wardo. It’s also been confirmed that Michael Stuhlbarg is playing Nicodemus West and Benedict Wong is playing Wong.
Rachel Adams plays the female lead in Doctor Strange, and is speculated to be Night Nurse/Linda Carter, though her character name has yet to be revealed. The name of Mads Mikkelsen‘s (Hannibal) villain has not yet been named either. Scott Adkins and Amy Landecker are in the movie as well.
Doctor Strange, which wrapped filming yesterday, is slated to hit theaters Nov. 4.
