'Bachelorette' Star Andi Dorfman Quits Assistant District Attorney Job
Andi Dorfman, the current star of ABC’s The Bachelorette, has quit her day job as an assistant district attorney following her second leave of absence.
Andi Dorfman Quits Assistant DA Job
Dorfman, 27, first appeared on ABC’s The Bachelor where she vied for the affections of Juan Pablo Galavis. Throughout the show, Dorfman often spoke fondly and passionately of her job as an assistant district attorney in Atlanta, working in the gang unit of the DA office. When filming for The Bachelorette began, Dorfman still seemed intent on keeping the “coveted position.”
"I was very fortunate to be in a specialized unit in my office. My specialty was gangs. It was a really coveted position,” Dorfman told People magazine before admitting she worried about her job security. "There was that worry of 'If I leave, is somebody going to take my place?' I'm a young female attorney and it's already an uphill battle for me."
Though Dorfman expressed her eagerness to get back into her job post-Bachelor/Bachelorette, she did always admit that she’d uproot from Atlanta for the right guy.
"My home is Atlanta, my family is there,” she said. “But I am serious about finding love and if that means going somewhere else and figuring it out once I get there, then that's what it takes.”
The Bachelorette airs Mondays on ABC at 8/7c.
