‘Bachelor’ Nation Speculates That Katie Thurston Will Be The Next ‘Bachelorette’

Even though the current season of The Bachelor is still airing, fans are already thinking about who will star in the next season of the popular reality franchise. Current Bachelor contestant, Katie Thurston, is rumored to be the next Bachelorette.

While the producers can still change their mind, sources close to the show told Variety that Thurston was the network’s top pick to be the next Bachelorette.

This past weekend, the blogger Reality Steve tweeted saying “(SPOILER): At the “women Tell All” taping this past Thursday, Katie Thurston was announced as the next “Bachelorette.” Katie gets eliminated on Monday’s episode during her 1-on-1 with Matt.”

Steve later clarified that no official announcement has been made yet, but one would be coming soon.

Following the spoiler though, Thurston herself posted a photo on her Instagram story with the caption, “Reading my texts this morning like News to me.”

Thurston is a fan favorite on the current season of The Bachelor. After arriving to the show with a vibrator in hand, she has been praised for being sex-positive. She also stood out for her support of the other women on the show, especially since The Bachelor usually focuses on fighting between the contestants.

Last month, ABC executive Rob Mills told Variety that the next Bachelorette would probably be someone from a past season of the show.

“I would say with 99.9 percent certainly, the Bachelorette is going to be someone who comes from one of our previous seasons,” he said. “Probably Matt’s, but at least someone who is familiar to Bachelor Nation.”

ABC and Warner Bros. have not commented on the rumors about Thurston.
