Azealia Banks Cries As She Explains Russell Crowe Argument

Rapper Azealia Banks cried as she explained her encounter  last week with actor Russell Crowe which escalated to a physical confrontation.

Banks met Crowe at a gathering in his hotel suite in Hollywood. She was with rapper MZA, a mutual friend of hers and Crowe’s. The two got into an argument which allegedly started because Banks said Crowe’s new horror movie would “suck.” Crowe ended up removing Banks from the gathering and calling security.

Banks’ recounting of the events was very emotional. She claimed the actor spat on her, choked her, and called her the N-word. Witnesses claim that Banks herself was rude and disorderly. RZA took Crowe’s side, saying that the actor only touched Banks in order to remove her from the party, and that he never used any racial slurs.

In an interview with Us Weekly, the female rapper addressed Crowe: “I’ve got youth and beauty, and he’s got beer belly and jowls!”

“Even if I were being erratic, you should have enough sense to have me escorted out properly and keep your hands and your spit to yourself,” she said.

Banks said that she expects a public apology, but that she wouldn’t press charges against Crowe.
