Gloria Allred was booed for yelling, “Bill Cosby. Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!” on stage at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday.

Host Mario Lopez said the awards show would not be political, but recently many award shows have highlighted many political issues such as #MeToo and #TimesUp. Before she presented the award for Best Legal/Courtroom Show, Allred came out with a sign that said, “Bill Cosby. Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!” and continued to shout it. She received boos and smattering of cheers from the audience.

Attorney Allred represents 33 of the 60 women that accused Cosby of sexual assault.

The outburst came after Bill Cosby was convicted of three counts of aggravated indecent assault. The three counts of sexual assault were penetration with lack of consent, penetration after administering an intoxicant and penetration while unconscious. Each of these felonies are punishable up to 10 years in prison. Cosby was silent when the sentence was handed down,  but when prosecutor Kevin Steele asked for his bail to be revoked because of the possibility of him fleeing, Cosby called Steele an “a–hole” and said he was “sick” of him.

Allred to told CBS she was “very surprised and shocked” by the verdict. “Because first of all, the first criminal trial, the jury deadlocked. Secondly, it’s a very high burden of proof. Guilt beyond a reasonable doubt,” she said. “And in the case of a celebrity who’s on trial, such as Mr. Cosby, sometimes jurors feel they need even more proof than beyond a reasonable doubt. Sometimes they feel they need it right up here, to a virtual certainty, which is not the law.”
