With Anthony Bourdain‘s suicide occurring over a month ago, friends, family and fans are still mourning the Parts Unkown host’s death.
His girlfriend, Asia Argento, remembered the late chef again in an Instagram post of a photo of the two together. The picture is dated May 27, which is 12 days before he committed suicide.

The couple was in a red convertible in Florence Italy, with Bourdain holding a green umbrella above them.
The caption is an Italian poem from Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy” that translates to, “There is no greater sorrow than to be mindful of the happy time in misery, and that thy Teacher knows. But, if to recognize the earliest root of love in us thou hast so great desire, I will do even as he who weeps and speaks.”
Argento has shared another two photos since his death on June 8, when he was discovered by his close friend and chef Eric Ripert in his hotel room in France. They were there to film an episode for Parts Unknown.
Immediately after his death, she released a statement on Instagram regarding his influence and love.
“Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did,” she wrote. “His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds. He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine.”
He is also survived by his ex-wife Ottavia Busia and 11-year-old daughter Ariane Bourdain.
