Arnold Schwarzenegger Bonds With Son Joseph Baena At Oktoberfest

Arnold Schwarzenegger enjoyed some father-son time with Joseph Baena at Oktoberfest over the weekend.

Schwarzenegger took to Instagram Sunday with a picture of himself with his son Baena celebrating Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. In the snap, Schwarzenegger and Baena, 19, are outfitted in traditional lederhosen and are raising large beer steins.

“Happy birthday, Joseph,” Schwarzenegger, 69, captioned the picture. “Great student, great athlete. I’m proud of you and I love you!”

Schwarzenegger makes the trip to Munich for Oktoberfest just about every year. Last year, the Terminator actor shared a video of himself filling up a stein from a tap. “We are having fun at #Oktoberfest,” Schwarzenegger wrote.

Baena is Schwarzenegger’s son with the former Schwarzenegger-Shriver family housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena. News of Schwarzenegger fathering a child with Baena while married to Maria Shriver broke back in 2011 and ultimately led to Schwarzenegger and Shriver’s divorce. In recent years, Baena has become a more visible figure in Schwarzenegger’s life.

“He is terrific and he totally understands the situation. It all has worked out really well,” Schwarzenegger told Howard Stern last year of his son. “It’s a very tough situation for him. It’s a very tough situation for my kids, a very tough situation for my family. It’s tough for everybody, but it has happened and now we have to kind of figure it out.”
