Amanda Bynes Is Three-Years Sober, Plans Return To TV
Amanda Bynes’ last appearance behind a camera was in 2010, although she’s prepared to resume the work she loves.
AMANDA BYNES SOBER, TO START ACTING AGAIN
When discussing her turnaround, Bynes acknowledged her intention to return to TV. She’s aware of the need to “take it step by step,” but she’s hoping to possibly secure “a few guest spots on some shows” she enjoys, perhaps with a TV show she’d headline, according to Hollyscoop.
Bynes also affirmed she’s been sober for three years, which is an accomplishment she’s proud of.
Attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising inspired a new passion for her as well. She hopes to utilize her new skills to someday launch her own fashion line. Other hobbies she’s developed include hiking and feeding the homeless.
AMANDA BYNES’ IMPRESSIVE RECOVERY
Amanda Bynes, currently 31, enjoyed the spotlight as a childhood actress, appearing as a cast member in Nickelodeon’s All That from 1996 to 2000. Bynes was then propelled into her own program, The Amanda Show, which ran for three seasons. Her successes therein helped her earn the lead role in What I Like About You, which in turn lead into film.
Bynes, however, has had a troubled life in more modern times. She was arrested multiple times for DUIs, and she’d been committed for psychiatric evaluation. She also experimented with marijuana and tended to partake in questionable Twitter discussions. Bynes now says she’s sober.
Fortunately, Bynes appears to be on an upswing. She was described as “doing great” back in July 2015.
