Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria Baldwin gave birth to the couple’s first child together on Friday – a baby girl they’ve named Carmen Gabriela.

Hilaria, 29, went into labor on Friday and was subsequently taken to New York's Mount Sinai Hospital. The baby is the yoga instructor’s first. She took to Twitter to share her excitement.

Hilaria also tweeted a picture from the momentous evening – though not of her daughter, but of a New York City night sky. “Welcome in the world, Carmen! The sunset on her birth 8/23/13 6:15pm.”

Carmen Gabriela is Baldwin’s second child. His first, daughter Ireland, was born during his first marriage to actress Kim Bassinger. Ireland also took to social media to address her new sibling. After tweeting, “Welcome to the world, Carmen. I’m a f—king sister!” she shared a letter she wrote for the newborn on Tumblr and a sweet observation:

Baldwin, 55, and Hilaria were married in 2012 after they began seriously dating in the summer of 2011.
