After Swearing He Would Leave ‘Ridiculous’ U.S. Two Years Ago, Ozzy Osbourne Is Still Living In L.A.

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne tried to explain why they still live in the U.S. years after promising to leave.

During an episode of their family podcast, The Osbournes, the couple discussed Ozzy’s health and their delayed plans to relocate back to England.

“Well, we’re trying to get on a flight,” Ozzy said, to which Sharon responded, “Yeah, it just seems that every time we’re set to go, something happens with Ozzy’s health.”

Ozzy, 75, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003 and has undergone four surgeries on his spine following a fall in 2019.

“We’ll get there,” Sharon said about moving to England. “We want to go back so bad, but we’ll get there. Won’t we, Ozzy?” Her husband agreed.

Ozzy first announced his desire to move back to the U.K. during an interview with the Guardian in 2022. He said “Everything’s f– ridiculous” in America.

“I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. It’s f–ing crazy,” he explained.

“And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f–ing Forest Lawn [cemetery],” Ozzy continued. “I’m English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go. But no, it’s just time for me to come home.”

Sharon, 71, agreed with her husband in an interview with ABC News that same year.

“I just feel at this point in my life, I can’t speak for Ozzy, but I wanna go home,” she said. “And it doesn’t mean I’ll never come – my children are here. I need to be back where I came from.”

The couple shares three adult children, Aimee, Kelly and Jack. Ozzy also has two children with his ex-wife Thelma Riley.

In 2023, Ozzy told Rolling Stone UK that he has “10 years left” to live “at best.” His wife told the Daily Mail that it’s “heartbreaking” to see him struggle.

“We’re at a stage where I’ve been taking care of my husband, not because I have to but because I want to and I love him,” she said. “He’s had seven operations in five years. There’s nothing more they can do. Now it’s about recuperating.”

In January, Sharon opened up about how her husband’s previous affair almost drove her to suicide. The reality star has made headlines recently after Ozempic helped her lose 42 pounds.
