Beverly Hills, 90210 star Tori Spelling showed love to her 78-year-old mother, Candy Spelling, on social media for Mother’s Day. Across four different Instagram Stories posts, Tori showed off throwback photos of her mother. Some images showed Tori as a toddler with her mother, while another featured an older Tori and Candy on the red carpet together.
“Thank you for teaching me strength and resilience, Mommy (and how to set a proper dinner party table and always how to spot a fake purse),” Tori wrote over a photo of her and her mother.
After inheriting over half a billion dollars from her deceased husband, Candy was under fire from fans for not helping Tori’s living situation. Candy, who was married to Tori’s father, Aaron Spelling, a film and television producer, left his widow his $600 million estate. Tori and her brother Randy were said to inherit $800,000.
Candy is said to upset with Tori’s extravagant spending and cut her off years ago.
After Tori separated from her ex-husband, Dean McDermott, Tori lived in a rental home and RV park with her five children. In her podcast misSPELLING, Tori opened up about her divorce from McDermott, saying she didn’t “feel worth loving.” Tori and McDermott married in 2006 until Tori filed for divorce in 2024. Their separation was first announced via McDermott’s Instagram in 2023 in a now-deleted post.
Tori also claimed her 15-year-old daughter Stella was bullied by classmates for being “homeless” after the press photographed the family at the RV park.
