After Living In An RV Park, Tori Spelling Files For Divorce From Dean McDermott After 18 Years Of Marriage, Seeks Spousal Support

Tori Spelling has filed for divorce from Dean McDermott after an 18-year marriage.

The couple first separated on June 17, 2023, as stated in the divorce filing. On the same day, McDermott publicly announced their separation in a now-deleted Instagram post.

“It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own. We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time.”

Nearly nine months after the initial post, Spelling has officially filed for divorce.

Spelling, 50, known for Beverly Hills, 90210, married McDermott, 57, in 2006 after meeting on the set of Mind Over Murder. The couple appeared in several more projects together such as True Tori and The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time.

In 2014, McDermott admitted to having an affair which was featured on True Tori.

The divorce filing states “irreconcilable differences” for their separation. It also states that Spelling seeks spousal support but wants to bar McDermott from receiving any. Spelling is also requesting joint custody of their five children, ranging from age 7 to 17.

McDermott has also since removed Spelling from his Instagram bio, which used to say, “Married to the love of my life @torispelling.”

After their separation, Spelling and her children moved into a motel, RV park and then a rental home priced at $18,000 per month. Spelling and the children moved out after an altercation between their neighbor and the police involving an AR-15.

McDermott also spent Thanksgiving 2023 in a sober living facility to aid his recovery from alcoholism.
