After Giving Birth, Lindsay Lohan Says She Wants To Be A Mom First – Not A Party Girl

Actress Lindsay Lohan discusses her Christmas plans with her husband and son, as well as her newly released Christmas movie, Our Little Secret, in an interview. During the interview with Alexa Holiday Fashion 2024, Lohan stated that she is thrilled to have some downtime and to just be normal with her son, Luai Shammas.

In July 2023, she and her husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed Luai into their family. She stated in the interview that her holiday plans begin with gift wrapping.

“I’m very nerdy when it comes to wrapping presents,” the actress stated. “I love the art of wrapping. I will wrap any of my friends’ presents – just give it to me. I’ll help.”

“For my son, I want to do fun ones,” Lohan added. “If he sees dinosaur wrapping paper, he gets excited. So that’s what’s fun for me — wrapping presents and putting up the tree. And filming every moment of it!”

She also mentioned that she will bake brownies to make a trail of “dirt” on the floor near the plate of cookies left out for Santa Claus.

“It’s no longer about you, really,” the actress declared. “For me, everything is about my child and my family and my household, and making sure that my work is in line with what’s going to work for everyone else.”

“I would like to be settled here, because then I can do everything for the baby,” she said during the interview.

“I value just taking the time for the normalcy, and just being a mom, not having to go put makeup on every second to go to this or that event,” Lohan stated. “We live in such a world of go, go, go, go, go, and that’s great. But you need to have balance. I need longer times of balance, because I need time with my child. That’s really important to me. I’m a mom and a wife first, and then, you know, I have my other stuff.”

She also discussed that filming Our Little Secret, which was released on Netflix on Nov. 27, had been the first job she accepted after giving birth to her son.

“My son was six months old, and so I was learning for the first time really how to go and work and be on set and come home,” Lohan stated. “Where I was staying was really close to where we were filming. So it was pretty much just a normal day job, and I felt so blessed for that.”

Back in January, the actress, who starred in the original 2004 film Mean Girls, came to the New York premiere of the new Mean Girls movie based on the Broadway musical.
