Days after Bebe Rexha had a phone thrown at her face, Ava Max was assaulted while she was performing her On Tour (Finally) tour.
She was in L.A. performing at the Fonda Theater when in the middle of her performance, a fan rushed to the stage and slapped her. Security immediately took him away.
She didn’t let him ruin her moment though, and Max kept performing and dancing but did hold her hand to her face. After she finished her song, she left the stage.
The moment was captured on video by a fan and posted on Twitter. The video was captioned, “Fan jumps on stage and scratches @AvaMax tonight during ‘The Motto’ .”
While the injury did not seem serious at the moment, Max later tweeted on Wednesday morning, “He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye.”
She continued on to say, “He’s never coming to a show again 😡😡thank you to the fans for being spectacular tonight in LA though!!❤️”
Fans replied to her in the comments offering their support and sending her their best wishes.
Her manager, Scooter Braun, posted a photo on his Instagram story of him sitting next to Max while she iced her eye with a cold beer bottle.
Other fans opened up about the experience on Twitter saying, “I was there tonight. The guy rushed on stage at the end right when the last song ended. The security guard tackled him and literally THREW him down the stairs. Wild!!! It happened so fast. You can see here she couldn’t even open her eyes but she STILL did M&G. ILYSM 🥹🙏🏼 @AvaMax”
Even though Max was injured she still kept to her commitments and met fans after the show at the meet and greet, where this fan took the photo.
