Croatian footballer Ana Maria Markovic shared a post of herself in a skimpy bikini with her 2.8 million followers on Instagram.
As the forward player for the Swiss Women’s Super League club Grasshopper and the Croatia national team, Markovic has frequently been called the “world’s most beautiful footballer.”
The 23-year-old athlete is active on social media and keen on sharing glimpses of her personal life.
In a recent Instagram post, Markovic wears a two-piece beachwear, with a flowery patterned bra and a matching bottom, sitting next to her icy drink. It took place at Laganini Beach Club in Okrug Gornji, Croatia.
“Summer in pink 👙☀️,” she caption alongside the pictures.
The fans expressed their appreciation of Markovic’s beautiful summer look in the comments.
“Absolutely perfect from head to toe!” one wrote, as another said, “Your natural beauty is something else.”
A few days later, Markovic followed up with a video post of her wearing the same bikini, juggling a soccer ball on a flat rock surrounded by the ocean.
In the caption, the soccer lover wrote, “The ACL? Better and better 👌🏻.”
“ACL” stands for Anterior Cruciate Ligament, a knee injury Markovic suffered recently. She has been on recovering since early March.
Markovic announced that she is taking a break after the injury and expressed her deepest sorrows in a post on March 6.
“Unfortunately I got injured at the last game and will now have to say goodbye to football for a long time,” she wrote. “It hurts so much and still can not believe it.”

“All who know me, know that I have a very strong personality and that I will come back even stronger… thank you all for the support… I will need it in the next few months even more,” she wrote.
