Adele has revealed that she has a Twitter account secret from her management.
During a show in Brisbane, the singer admitted to having this “secret account.” “I’m not allowed access to my own Twitter because I’m quite mouthy and I say the wrong thing a lot of the time,” she explained. “So they took that privilege away from me…. By ‘they’ I mean my management.”
In November 2015, Adele’s team had to ban her from using her official Twitter account because they didn’t want her running her mouth, especially when drinking. “I mean I’m not a drinker any more, but when Twitter first came out I was, like, drunk tweeting, and nearly put my foot in it quite a few times,” she said in an interview. “So my management decided that you have to go through two people and then it has to be signed off by someone, but they’re all my tweets.”
This is only the second biggest secret Adele has been keeping. Earlier this year, the singer admitted that she had secretly wed her longtime boyfriend Simon Konecki. She was talking about feelings and how she loved the feeling of first falling in love. “Obviously I can’t go through with those feelings because I’m married now,” she revealed. She also referred to Konecki as her “husband” at the Grammys, but then switched to “partner” when speaking with interviewers.
