Over the weekend, Adele posted a photo in her Chloé dress from the Glastonbury Festival in 2016 and showcased her dramatic weight loss in an Instagram post.
She captioned the photo, “5 ciders in 👌🏻” and pictured herself rewatching her performance at Glastonbury and then another of her in the dress that she wore.
Chrissy Teigen commented on the post, “I mean are you kidding me” along with other stars including, Mark Ronson who said, “that’s dope” and Kaya Scodelario, who wrote, “God I love you.”
The release date for Adele’s new album has yet to be revealed. One fan commented on her post, “Teaser? Albums coming out today???!!!! Tell me now.” To this Adele answered, “Of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient.”
Adele had originally revealed her drastic weight loss on her birthday on May 6. She posted a photo on Instagram in a tight short black dress and said, “Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels ♥️
2020 okay bye thanks x”
She has recently been using her platform to support the Black Lives Matter movement. On June 1, she posted for George Floyd, a black man who was killed in police custody by an officer kneeling on his neck. Adele said, “George Floyd’s murder has sent shockwaves around the world, there are countless others that haven’t. Protests and marches are happening all over the globe simultaneously and only gaining momentum.
So be righteously angered but be focused! Keep listening, keep asking and keep learning!”
