Adam Sandler Updates ‘The Chanukah Song’ Lyrics

Adam Sandler delivered an updated version of “The Chanukah Song” at the Judd Apatow & Friends event at the New York Comedy Festival over the weekend.

Up on the stage at Carnegie Hall Saturday, Sandler dove into his fourth version of “The Chanukah Song.” Though videos of Sandler’s performance have been stripped from the Internet, the lyrics of the song were obtained by Vulture.

Put on your yarmulke, here comes Chanukah
It’s so much fun-akkah to celebrate Chanukah

Chanukkah is the Festival of Lights,
Instead of one day of presents, we have eight crazy nights.

Sandler was at the New York Comedy Festival event to support his longtime pal Judd Apatow during his stand-up set.

Sandler debuted “The Chanukah Song” when he was a Saturday Night Live cast member back in December of 1994. He first revised the lyrics in 1999, and updated it a second time in 2002. It’s been over a decade since the comedian and actor has added Jewish celebrities to his catchy holiday song.
