Julia Fox, known for her breakout role in the 2019 film Uncut Gems, has seemingly come out as lesbian in a recent TikTok video.

The 34-year-old Fox posted a clip on Monday, responding to another user’s video about lesbians dating men. In her response, Fox stated, “Hey, that was me. I was that lesbian. So sorry, boys. Won’t happen again.”

Fox filmed herself walking down a street wearing sunglasses and a gray tank top as she made the statement.

This revelation comes after Fox’s October appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, where she expressed having “sworn off men.” During that interview, Fox outlined stringent criteria for potential partners, emphasizing the need for someone who understands her priorities as a mother.

“It would need to be someone who also has to have kids, so they understand that they can never come first,” Fox told Barrymore. She added that any potential partner would need to be content with limited time together and have their own driving force in life separate from her.

Fox is the mother of a toddler son, Valentino, from her previous marriage to pilot Peter Artemiev. The couple was married from 2018 to 2020.

Beyond her acting career, Fox is also known as a music artist and author. Her performance in Uncut Gems garnered critical acclaim, earning her awards from several film critics’ associations, including those in Chicago and Toronto, as well as the Gotham Awards.

Fox’s brief relationship with Kanye West in 2022 thrust her further into the public spotlight, making headlines and sparking widespread media interest.

Last year, Fox spoke to uInterview exclusively about her work as a producer on the film Something You Said Last Night.

“I was on a set in the middle of glam to walk on a runway,” she recalled. “And I was just like, ‘Everyone shut up.’ I was like so into the movie, and it just really drew me in, and you know, it’s one of those movies that just like touches your heart in a way.”

Fox mentioned how she loved how the film came full circle by the end of it.

“We open and [the main character] is just so shut off and disconnected, and she’s rejecting her mother’s love, and then at the end of the film we see, this kind of olive branch she kind of lets her mother take her by the hand,” she said.
