Action Bronson Apologizes To Ghostface Killah After Wu Tang Clan Rapper Threatened To Set His Beard On Fire

Action Bronson has apologized to Ghostface Killah for calling him out on live television after the Wu Tang Clan rapper threatened to set his beard on fire.

Action Bronson Calls Out Ghostface Killah On SportsNation

Bronson has long been compared to Ghostface by fans and critics alike, and the relative newcomer has usually taken the comparisons with grace. That is, until a recent appearance on ESPN’s SportsNation.

Bronson took a shot at Ghostface Killah when asked about the comparison, after one SportsNation host admitted that, when he first heard Bronson, he thought Ghostface had come out with new music. “He’s not rapping like this no more,” Bronson replied.

The anchors of SportsNation were quick to pick up on the comment, but when asked if that was a direct hit at Ghostface, Bronson tried to downplay his comment, saying, “No, just being honest.”

To be fair to Bronson, when Ghostface Killah first came up in the conversation, the rapper answered respectfully, saying, “Honestly, I think it’s indifferent at this point. People compare Coke and Pepsi. People compare everything. No matter what, you’re going to get a comparison to something. I’m just glad it’s one of the greats.”

Ghostface Killah Slams Action Bronson In Video Message

When over one week passed with no apology, Ghostface finally hit back, releasing a six-minute video message response. “First of all, you fat little f—k, who gives you the right to even mention my name out of your mother—king mouth?” he challenged.

“Boy you done made a mistake boy. You done f—ked up. Because listen man, you could never f—k with my pen – my sword, my blade, whatever you want to call it. I’m too nasty for you. This is why the f—k you look up to me, and sound like me,” Ghostface continued.

Ghostface also laid claim on Bronson’s legion of fans, saying, “Let me tell you something, your fans? Those were my fans first, you understand what I’m saying?”

Finally, the Wu Tang Clan rapper ended with a long threat, noting that, while Bronson may think he’s tough enough to get in a rap war with him, he has no idea what he could get himself into.

“You have to learn how to watch what you say, I guess you’ve never been taught that because you’re not a real n—-er. … I don’t think you really know the magnitude of this s—t right here …You walk around the club with no shoes on, a big ass beard that one day I might set on fire just for saying my name. Doing 25 years doesn’t sound so good, but I got shooters who’ll do that. Those shooters are not from New York. I didn’t think you know the magnitude of what you have done,” Ghostface continued.

Action Bronson Apologizes To Ghostface Killah

Ghostface posted his threatening video online on Monday, July 20, and within hours, Bronson took to Twitter to apologize. “When ur wrong ur wrong and I was wrong. I apologized for the comments. I’ll always be a stand up human. Much love [sic],” Bronson tweeted.

Bronson issued multiple apologies Monday night, concluding with this message: “Everyone says things they regret. I respect my elders and the forefathers of this art. Once again, I’m sorry.”

Ghostface has not responded to Bronson’s apology, which appears to have been delivered privately.
