It’s been revealed that the Jane Doe who accused Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears of grooming her and her younger brother to appear in a comedy sketch called “Through A Pedophile’s Eyes,” has dropped her lawsuit against the two comedians.
Haddish reportedly recruited the accusers after bonding with their mother, and they acted scenes for the sketch including her simulating oral sex on a sandwich, and her younger brother massaging Spears in the bath in the “Pedophile’s Eyes” sketch. She also claimed she was around 14 years old at the time and her brother was even younger.
While Haddish had made a statement saying she “deeply regret[s] having agreed to act” in the sketch in question, her lawyer had referred to the accusations as a shakedown and the legal process against her has ended as of Tuesday this week. Jane Doe’s Tuesday statement spoke more highly of Haddish but didn’t mention Spears.
“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us,” the accuser said. “We wish Tiffany the best and are glad we can put this all behind us.”
