Abby Wambach celebrated the United States women’s soccer team’s World Cup final win over Japan Sunday with a kiss from her wife Sarah Huffman.

After the final whistle blew at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, Canada Sunday night, with the scoreboard reading 5-2 in favor of the U.S., Wambach headed over to where Huffman was cheering in the stands. The two embraced and shared a kiss before Wambach ran around the soccer pitch with the American flag.

Wambach married Huffman, a former teammate, in Hawaii in 2013. After the Supreme Court ruled in favor of marriage equality last month, Wambach took to Twitter to celebrate the decision. “Happy doesn’t even come close to how I feel! Proud of my country today & will try and make you all proud of us!!!,” she wrote.

When asked about the decision in an interview, Wambach, who’s scored more international goals than any other person of any gender in soccer history (183) said that the whole U.S. women’s team was delighted about the news.

“Obviously it impacts my life personally, but everybody on our team was super happy and excited about it,” she said. “And to cap it off with a win, moving on to the semis at the World Cup, for me it doesn’t get any better.”
