The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards aired last night, celebrating the artists who put out the best music videos in rock, pop and hip-hop.

2015 MTV Video Music Awards

Taylor Swift led the night in awards, taking home the top prize of Video of the Year for “Bad Blood.” When the country-turned-pop singer took to the stage to accept the award, she was joined by her close pals and “Bad Blood’ music video costars – from model Gigi Hadid and actress Hailee Steinfled to Mariska Hargitay.

“There are two women in the video who I’ve named cats after,” Swift said during her speech, referring to Hargitay and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Ellen Pompeo. “I love them so much. Swift added, “There’s been a lot of discussion about this video and what it means, but I’m just happy that, in 2015, we live in a world where boys can play princesses, and girls can play soldiers.”

“Bad Blood” also earned Swift and Kendrick Lamar the Best Collaboration moonman. Swift’s “Blank Space” music video won for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video.

Nicki Minaj, who kicked off the VMAs with a performance that featured a cameo by Swift, won Best Hip-Hop Video for “Anaconda.” The Best Male Video VMA went to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for “Uptown Funk,” while the Best Rock Video moonman was awarded to Fall Out Boy for “Uma Thurman.”

Fetty Wap earned the Artist to Watch award and Big Sean, Kanye West and John Legend won Best Video with a Social Message for “One Man Can Change the World.”
