‘1000-Lb. Sister’ Star Amy Slaton Arrested For Drug Possession & Child Endangerment At Tennessee Zoo After Camel-Biting Incident
On Sept. 2, 1000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton was arrested at a Tennessee safari park on drug and child endangerment charges.
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department responded to calls about a guest being bitten by a camel at Tenessee Safari Park in Alamo. Police confirmed via Facebook that, “Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicles.”
Slaton and Brian Scott Lovvorn, who was also in the vehicle, were immediately taken into custody and now face several charges, including illegal possession of schedule I, illegal possession of schedule IV and two counts of child endangerment.
Officials have not identified the guest who was bitten or provided any information about the injuries sustained from the alleged incident.
“The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence,” police said in the post. “The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.”
TLC’s 1000-Lb. Sisters follows Slaton and her sister, Tammy Slaton, as they battle obesity. In April, Tammy revealed that she lost 1,000 pounds following weight loss surgery.
